PacifiCorp names new president

PacifiCorp Energy has named Micheal Dunn president.

PacifiCorp is based in Salt Lake City, and operates as Pacific Power in Oregon, Washington and northern California. Pacific Power is based in Portland.

Dunn comes to PacifiCorp Energy from Kern River Gas Transmission Company, based in Salt Lake City, where he had served as president since 2007. Kern River is part of the MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, which is also the parent company of Pacific Power, Rocky Mountain Power and PacifiCorp Energy. MidAmerican, which is controlled by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Co., is based in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dunn will have responsibility for PacifiCorp’s electric generation and energy trading functions, and coal mine operations.

He replaces Rob Lasich, who has taken a different position with the company.

Pat Reiten remains president of Pacific Power.
