SolarWorld wins annual performance test
SolarWorld’s modules generated more electricity than other competitive products for each watt of capacity installed in an annual test conducted by "Photon" magazine. It was the second year in a row that the German solar manufacturer, which operates its largest North American plant in Hillsboro, took the top honors.
In the most recent test, conducted last year, SolarWorld products produced up to 12 percent more power than other solar modules.
The magazine will release the results in its February edition. The Photon test is the only one of its kind in the industry.
The tests were completed on SolarWorld modules produced in Europe. The company said in a statement that its American products are made using the same quality standards.
