Platinum Solutions Inc., a systems integrator and developer of custom software for the federal government, announced Tuesday it has been awarded a $48 million, five-year contract with the U.S. Department of Energy to provide information technology and engineering support services to the National Energy Technology Laboratory, including the lab’s site in Oregon.
Under the terms of the contract, Reston, Va.-based Platinum Solutions will support a range of information technology services for lab facilities in Albany, Ore.; Morgantown, W.V.; Pittsburgh; Houston; and Fairbanks, Alaska. Specifically, the Albany lab is researching materials used in coal gasification.
Support services from the Platinum contract will include cyber security, network engineering, systems design and integration, enterprise architecture, enterprise systems support, and help desk support.
