Dees joins advisory board of PSU entrepreneurial program
J. Gregory Dees, an academic leader in the field of social entrepreneurship, joined the advisory board of Portland State University's Impact Entrepreneurs program, the university announced Thursday.
Dees is a professor and co-founder of Duke University's Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship. He's widely known as an expert on economic development and social justice and has taught at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School and the Yale School of Management.
"It's really exciting to see Portland State University join the ranks of leading universities committed to social entrepreneurship,โ said Dees in a press release.
The PSU Impact Entrepreneurs program is made up of three initiatives including the school's Social Innovation Incubator, Entrepreneurial Leaders Program and Social Enterprise Tours, which arranges tours to India and Nicaragua to visit social enterprises.
