Bragdon talks sustainability and competitiveness

David Bragdon, the outgoing president of the Oregon Metro Council, is headed to New York City next month to take the city’s top sustainability job.

The new position will have him coordinating the sustainability efforts from New York’s myriad departments including transportation, parks, planning and others.

Bragdon has some pointed opinions about the different ways in which Portland and New York — and their business communities — approach sustainability. He recently shared them with Sustainable Business Oregon.
