Vancouver getting ready for electric vehicles

Vancouver, Wash. is getting ready for electric cars. The city plans to use $100,000 in federal stimulus money to build recharging stations for electric vehicles.

The Columbian in Vancouver reports that the charging stations will be installed sometime next year to coincide with the introductions of the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt electric cars. In June, Washington state said it will receive $1.3 million in federal funds to build charging stations for electric cars along the Interstate 5 corridor between Oregon and the Canadian border.
