Sustainable Business Oregon presented its Spring 2011 Innovation in Sustainability Awards Thursday, recognizing 12 organizations leading the state in sustainable practices and processes.

Innovation in Sustainable Advocacy:

Winner: Oregon BEST plays matchmaker between business and education to give the sustainable economy a boost.

Winner: Myers Container CEO Kyle Stavig asked the right questions to send his company on a road to sustainable operations.

Finalist: Miranda Homes reduces construction waste.

Finalist: Pacific Foods quantifies its green operations.

Innovation in Sustainable Supply Chain:

Winner: Burgerville, much loved for its seasonal menu, allows family farms to thrive through its supply chain.

Finalist: Monster Electrical finds a better path to need-it-now parts.

Finalist: Portland Roasting: More than just a compostable cup of joe.
