Portland State University on Wednesday had the honor of playing host to Elinor Ostrom, 2009 Nobel Laureate in Economics and distinguished professor at Indiana University. Onstrom's research on the economics of common pool resources, including ecosystems, has received widespread acclaim.

In town for a workshop and Illahee Lecture, Ostrom sat down with Sustainable Business Oregon to discuss the commons, and how they can be sustainably managed.
