MotoCzysz is Venture Northwest people's choice

Portland-based MotoCzysz was selected at the people's choice winner at Venture Northwest.
MotoCzysz, the Portland maker of electric motorcycles and electric engine technology, took home the "people's choice" award Thursday at the Oregon Entrepreneur Network's annual Venture Northwest conference.
MotoCzysz, led by founder and CEO Michael Czysz, is raising venture capital to expand production of its Digital Drive, developed for use in its electric racing motorcycle, but with applications in a variety of hybrid and all-electric vehicles.
The company estimates it will have $2.4 million revenue this year and is looking to raise $2.5 million in an initial round of venture capital.
Ash Gupte serves as MotoCzysz's interim president.
MotoCzysz beat out the nine other companies that presented at the venture capital conference, Meridian, The Clymb, Pacific Light Technologies, Cloudability, Avado, 4-Tell, OpenSesame, Night & Day Studios and Northwest Analytics.
