Jessica Green's research is featured in the summer issue of Discover magazine.
University of Oregon's Jessica Green, a scientist with an expertise in the microbes that live inside buildings, took a leading role in a feature on the topic published in the latest issue of Discover magazine.
Under the headline, "Earth's Last Unexplored Wilderness ... Is Your Livingroom," the article goes in depth on the "microbial soup" that is indoor air and the implications it holds for sustainable buildings.
"We live nearly 90 percent of our lives indoors, but we know almost nothing about that environment," Green said in the article. "We don't think about the wildlife in the air because we can’t see it. But it's here."
