The Troutdale Reynolds Industrial Park at the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge is the site proposed for a natural gas plant to serve Portland General Electric customers. PGE is considering bids for some 15 different generating projects that are vying to be part of the utility's energy mix.
Accion Group, Inc., an independent evaluator hired by the Oregon Public Utility Commission, is helping to review bids to assure an open and impartial process.
PGE is also developing a second RFP for new generating resources, which will seek approximately 100 average megawatts of renewable power in order to meet Oregon's renewable portfolio standard.
