Gallery: Celebrating sustainable innovation at SBO Awards luncheon

Bruce Laird leans on the coveted paddle, the totem he took home for winning the annual Leadership in Sustainable Business award. Laird is the clean technology recruitment lead for the state's business development arm, Business Oregon.
The annual Innovation in Sustainability Awards luncheon took place Friday at the Governor Hotel in Portland, gathering the state's leaders in sustainable business to celebrate some of the brightest lights.
The awards, selected with input from the city of Portland's Sustainability at Work program, are designed to highlight organizations and businesses who are raising the bar for sustainability in the state. — a place that leads the nation when it comes to green practices.

As David Griswold, CEO of Sustainable Harvest put it in his comments upon taking the title for Innovation in Supply Chain: Oregon is probably the toughest state in which to win a sustainable business award.
Portland's outgoing Mayor Sam Adams was on hand, along with impact investing experts Tony Arnerich and Dave Chen.
