John Audley will start in January as Oregon's Policy Division Administrator.
John Audley will join the Oregon Department of Energy as Policy Division Administrator starting on Jan. 7.
He will leave his post as deputy director of the Renewable Northwest Project to take the policy job, reporting to Oregon's Energy Director Lisa Schwartz, who was named to that job in November.
"Representing RNP and its members has been one of the highest honors of my career," Audley said in an email announcing his new job to colleagues Friday.
Audley is a well-respected policy expert especially on clean energy issues. He joins Schwartz's team as the department will be charged with implementing Gov. John Kitzhaber's 10-year energy plan, which was released earlier this week in its final form. The plan includes a number of policy changes for the state.
