Rob Bennett and the Portland Sustainability Institute team want to hear from neighborhood planners.
The Portland Sustainability Institute is prepping for its next EcoDistricts Incubator. The event, at which urban neighborhood types will float sustainable living ideas, takes place May 29 through May 31.
The incubator event is a workshop at which attendees will shape neighborhood designs. The Institute’s event will attract city leaders, urban designers, infrastructure experts and community development pros.
One idea of the exercise is that individual neighborhoods can serve as test subjects for sustainability strategies.
The Institute, led by Executive Director Rob Bennett, wants 10 cities to participate in this year’s event. The deadline for applying is April 5.
