Is your building Better Bricks material?
By Wendy Culverwell
It’s time again to recognize Oregon’s most sustainable buildings and the people who push the industry to find ever better ways to live more efficiently.
The 12th annual Better Bricks competition is sponsored by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s commercial building initiative. Awards honor leaders in the green building movement for work that improves energy efficiency while delivering bottom-line befits to owners and tenants.
Awards will be given in five categories — Advocate, Emerging Leader, Architect/Designer, Building Manager and Owner/Developer.
Submit nominations on line. The deadline is June 7.
Winners will be honored at the Better Bricks breakfast program, 7:30 a.m. Aug. 21 in the Pavilion Room of the Hilton Portland and Executive Tower.
