Tigard's Rodda Paint Co. has agreed to a deal in which it will distribute a new environmentally favored paint line throughout the Northwest.

In working with Devine Color, Rodda has forged an agreement with a company that Miller Paint Co. jettisoned last month. The Rodda-Devine partnership, in which Rodda will carry Devine's Creamy Wall Coatings, starts in June.

The coatings line contains no volatile organic compounds.

Devine's Portland-based founder Gretchen Schauffler sold the company to Minneapolis-based Valspar Corp. in 2009.

Rodda President Bill Boone said the company will back the new Devine line with special programs for designers and contractors.
