Nike's Hannah Jones was awarded the C.K. Prahalad Award Monday in Chicago.

Nike Inc.’s Hannah Jones has added a coveted industry honor to her resume.

The company’s vice president of sustainable business and innovation landed an award named for sustainable business strategist C.K. Prahalad at Monday’s Corporate Eco Forum, in Chicago.

GreenBiz.com’s Joel Makower was at the event and offered this excellent report on Jones’ contributions to various pro-sustainability efforts.

Primarily, Jones was feted for nurturing the Considered Design standard, the GreenXchange and the Nike Materials Sustainability Index, among other endeavors.

Makower’s piece gives a nice overview of Jones’ career. He also notes that with Nike’s management changes last week, Jones now reports directly to CEO Mark Parker and Tom Clarke, Nike’s new president of innovation.
