The Levi's company's "Bike Shop" tour, which features "tailoring and bicycle tuning services," is hitting Portland today.
The Portland stop, at the Wonder Ballroom, will actually launch the tour, which also features stops in San Francisco, Brooklyn and three other cities.
Levi's efforts will allow bike commuters to get work done on their bikes and gear. One of the company's offerings: It will provide tailoring of clothes, such as mending of "crotch blowout."
The company recently introduced a "commuter line" of pants for cyclists. As part of its outreach, Levi's also profiled Chris Diminno, head chef at Clyde Common and a cyclist, as part of its “Go to Work” series.
The Wonder event, which starts at 5 p.m., features performances by Pure Bathing Culture, Onuinu and Magic Youth. The music starts at 8 p.m.
