The Sustainable Food Trade Association has hired an organic food veteran as its next top exec.
Katherine DiMatteo brings both extensive food industry knowledge as well as nonprofit leadership to the Portland-based post. She’s also known as an advocate of organic food. She's taking the place of Nate Schlachter.
“Her career path and passion for the organic food industry is a wonderful asset to the association and its members,” said Nate Morr, the group’s board president.
DiMatteo has served as the executive director of the Organic Trade Association, was a founding member of the Organic Center’s board of directors and is a managing partner and senior associate of Wolf, DiMatteo + Associates.
“I am pleased to be able to assist the organic sector, through SFTA, to move forward towards greater sustainability practices in their businesses and on their farms,” she said.
