The city of Portland and Multnomah County have released a new draft of the region's Climate Change Preparation Strategy.
The climate change document and a draft Risk and Vulnerabilities Assessment have been released for comment. The Portland City Council and Multnomah Board of Commissioners will consider adopting the documents later this year.
Comments are being accepted through April 11.
The governments are weighing how climate change will affect the region and what actions can improve resiliency and protect communities.
Portland released a climate action plan in 2009. The new document will explore the effects of changes on infrastructure, rivers and wetlands, food production and energy systems.
