Let's hang out: SBO networking event brings out industry's best
By Andy Giegerich
Sustainable Business Oregon editor
Our last SBO networking event, in July, attracted throngs of environmental business champions.
What'cha doing next Tuesday night?
I know where I'll be. Our next Sustainable Business Oregon networking event — at which movers, shakers, climbers and other experts will mingle — takes place at the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry. The gathering will occur amid OMSI's renewable energy exhibit, meaning attendees can sneak in a bit of curated learning while they hang with their colleagues.
The networking event starts at 5:30 p.m.
Our last such soiree took place at the Oregon Historical Society and offered those in the sustainability realm a look at NECA/IBEW's history. It was packed: I distinctly remember a trip from the front of the room to the back, about a 75-foot jaunt, taking 10 minutes.
Of course, that was because I kept running into people I know, but still, the lesson's the same: It's best to register now in order to secure your spot.
Hope to see everyone there. And please, if you signed up after reading this, stop by and say hello. I'll be looking for story ideas, good conversation and new, green-sector acquaintances.
