Confluence Solar to open $400 million plant in Tenn. (Nashville)
Hazelwood, Mo.-based Confluence Solar will build a solar manufacturing facility in Clinton in eastern Tennessee, Vice President of Communications Diane Van Leuven confirmed today.
The St. Louis Business Journal reported in March that Confluence was considering moving its plans for a plant from near its Missouri headquarters to Tennessee or Michigan, where sweeter incentive packages were offered. Former Clinton mayor Wimp Shoopman told Nashville Business Journal that the total investment is expected to be $400 million and that the average salary of workers will be $55,000.
