Honda eyes home fuel cell fill-up with test (Columbus)
Honda is making the refueling station for its energy-efficient fuel-cell-powered car a little more green itself.
The automaker’s Torrance, Calif.-based Honda R&D Americas Inc. on Wednesday unveiled a hydrogen refueling station prototype that is smaller, less expensive to build and 25 percent more efficient than the refueling stations it installed in California in the last decade. The newest station, designed for eventual home use by drivers of fuel-cell-powered cars, is housed at the R&D unit’s Los Angeles center.
