Houston law firm seeks greener energy pastures
A law firm based in the undisputed global energy capital of Houston is betting that green energy is the currency of the future. That’s why it’s moving a team to Silicon Valley to tap top talent and make some lucrative deals.
Vinson & Elkins LLP has opened an office in Silicon Valley, a region “rapidly emerging as one of the energy capitals of the world,” according to the international law firm.
Houston attorney Boyd Carano, managing partner of the new V&E Palo Alto office, sees opportunities in different forms of energy — including biofuels, photovoltaic and solar power and advanced energy storage.
