Obama: High-speed rail ‘best investment’ (Tampa Bay)

President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden visited Tampa Thursday to highlight a $1.25 billion high-speed rail project linking Tampa and Orlando by 2014.

“Making an investment in infrastructure creates jobs immediately and lays the foundation for a vibrant economy in the future,” Obama told the crowd of more than 2,000 people. “It’s one of our best investments, but it’s expensive.”
