POET gets $5.25 million for Iowa ethanol plant (Wichita)
POET Ethanol Products announced Tuesday it has received approval for the final $5.25 million in financial assistance for a commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol plant in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
The final piece of funding came from the Iowa Department of Economic Development, bringing the state’s contribution to $20 million. The initial $14.75 million came through the Iowa Power Fund in February.
