Wind turbine company lands $34.5M (Boston)
FloDesign Wind Turbine Corp. of Wilbraham, Mass. has raised $34.5 million in venture backing and named wind-energy industry veteran Lars A. Andersen, former head of Vestas China, as its new CEO.
The funding round included return backer Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers as well as new investors Technology Partners, VantagePoint Venture Partners and a Goldman Sachs managed investment fund.
