Bloom Energy fuel cell debut makes a splash
In a rarely seen flood of interest in a previously little-known company, Bloom Energy Corp. is set to officially unveil what it calls a break-through in fuel cell technology on Wednesday.
The Sunnyvale, Calif. company lifted the veil slightly in a "60 Minutes" episode on Sunday that triggered a wave of inquiries about what it does.
Today the company debuts with a grand event Wednesday morning including Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Colin Powell, the former secretary of state, and prominent venture investor John Doerr. Both Powell and Doerr are members of Bloom’s board.
