CleanFUEL gets $13M for propane fueling stations (Austin)

Georgetown-based CleanFUEL USA was awarded a $12.9 million grant and is partnering with Ferrellgas Partners LP (NYSE: FGP) to construct about 10 propane refueling stations nationwide.

The Department of Energy provided the funding to create the nation's first and largest propane station network. The Central Texas alternative fuel equipment developer will open the first station in Dallas sometime in the third quarter this year.

Other stations in Austin, Baton Rouge, Chicago, Indianapolis, Lake Charles, New Orleans, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio and St. Louis will follow.
