Recurrent lands utility solar contract (San Francisco)

San Francisco solar developer Recurrent Energy will sell power from three solar systems totaling 50 megawatts in Kern and San Bernardino Counties to Southern California Edison (NYSE: SCE).

Southern California Edison is planning for 500 megawatts of new solar power within its service territory, half developed by the utility and the other half by independent power producers like Recurrent. Recurrent is developing the projects on private land that it leases and construction will begin in 2012.
