Aurora Biofuels raises $15M in venture round (Silicon Valley)
Proving there's green in algae, Aurora Biofuels announced Wednesday it had raised $15 million in a third round of venture capital.
Aurora is commercializing a technology for turning algae into an alternative fuel.
The round was led by Oak Investment Partners, which has an office in Palo Alto.
Also participating were Redwood City-based Gabriel Venture Partners and Menlo Park-based Noventi Ventures.
The latest round brings total amount of money raised by the Alameda company to more than $40 million.
