Bloom Energy fuel cells could power jobs (San Jose)

For 10 years it was in development and for at least the past two years it was in one of the stealthiest stealth modes seen recently in Silicon Valley.

But now venture-backed Bloom Energy has launched in spectacular fashion with a fuel cell it said will drastically reduce carbon emissions while producing 100 kilowatt hours of energy.

Furthermore, the company said it needs to hire, and it’s looking for workers who have the type of skills used in auto plants like the soon-to-be-closed New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. in Fremont.
