Kauffman Foundation clean-tech network seeks fast path to market
Researchers and developers of clean energy technology may find the path to market a little shorter through a new online network the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation unveiled Monday.
In a release, the foundation said the Energy Innovation Network will provide information about renewable and non-polluting power technology to researchers, entrepreneurs, financiers and government officials.
Lesa Mitchell, the foundation’s vice president of advancing innovation, noted that the clean energy industry, though targeted for billions of dollars in private and public financing, still faces steep barriers in terms of business financing, regulatory oversight and the complex web of people and groups that are affected by the technology.
