Amyris raises $47.8M from Singapore government (San Francisco)
Amyris Biotechnologies has raised $47.8 million from the Singapore government.
Tamasek Holdings, which owns and manages direct investment by the Singapore government, made the investment into the Emeryville biofuels startup.
Jeri Hilleman, chief financial officer of Amyris, said Tamasek has a strong interest in Brazil where Amyris is opening its first commercial plants that will turn sugarcane into renewable transportation fuels that can be used in today’s fueling infrastructure.
