Solar panel maker Chromasun raises $3M (San Jose)

Chromasun Inc. on Wednesday announced its first institutional funding round of $3 million.

Founded in 2008, Chromasun has U.S. operations in San Jose. The company develops and manufactures rooftop friendly high performance solar products.

Chromasun said its solar collector provides high grade thermal energy but in a familiar flat panel format with no external moving parts.

Leading the round was Danish investor VKR Holding.

Also participating was European investor GoGreen Capital and two unnamed investors.
