CH2MHill awarded $9.5M contract (Sacramento)
CH2MHill has been awarded a contract by the Delta Stewardship Council to help develop a comprehensive long-term management plan that will guide state and local actions in the California Delta.
Legislation adopted last November requires that a Delta management plan be adopted by Jan. 1, 2012.
The $9.5 million contract will be paid for through Proposition 84, 2006 Safe Drinking Water Bond Act, funds. The contract runs through 2012.
“All four firms who submitted qualifications were outstanding, but the team put together by CH2MHill stood out,” council chairman Phil Isenberg said in a news release.
CH2MHill was unanimously chosen by the council following a two-month review-of-qualifications process jointly conducted by the council and the state Department of Water Resources. Administration of the contract will be transferred from DWR to the council.
