Waste Management invests in MicroGreen (Seattle & Houston)
Waste Management Inc. has invested in MicroGreen Polymers Inc., a plastics company that adds air to plastics to reduce weight and costs.
Houston-based Waste Management (NYSE: WM) participated in the $6.9 million financing round, along with WRF Capital, of Seattle, and the Northwest Energy Angels, and other sources.
“As North America’s largest residential recycler, we handle a growing stream of PET and other plastics that can provide the feedstock for Ad-air technology," said Pat DeRueda, president of WM Recycling. "This could create more value from the materials we recover at our recycling facilities every day.”
