Tesla-powered Mercedes set for debut
Mercedes-Benz is showing off an all-electric A-Class vehicle at the Paris Auto Show that is powered by a battery developed by Tesla Motors Inc.
The A-Class E-Cell will get a limited trial run of 500 vehicles in Germany, available by lease only.
The vehicle’s range is projected to be 124 miles.
The A-Class is the latest partnership between Tesla and Mercedes' parent, Daimler. The German company also uses Tesla batteries in its line of tiny "smart cars."
