Wisconsin hospital plans $10M wind farm
Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse has teamed up with an equity partner to finance a $10 million wind farm in southeast Minnesota, the project's developer said Thursday.
Juhl Wind Inc., a community wind power company in Woodstock, Minn., said it has executed a development agreement with GL Wind LLC, a new firm formed by Gundersen Lutheran and an unnamed equity partner to fund the development of the 5-megawatt wind farm.
Juhl Wind Inc. said it has been assisting Gundersen Lutheran in the development of the project since the fall of 2009 and will now provide full-scale development and construction oversight services for the project.
Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2010 and should be complete in 2011.
