Tesla's CEO Musk: Rocket scientist
Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, is a busy guy.
Tesla Motors CEO and chief product architect Elon Musk, also chairman of SolarCity and founder of rocket maker Space Exploration Technology, wears a lot of hats. Underneath those hats is apparently a very large brain.
At Palo Alto-based Tesla, Musk is credited with solving some of the key design challenges that made it possible for the all-electric engine to have crazy torque. But he's also a chief technology officer and CEO for SpaceX, which this week announced it would make the biggest commercial rocket ever to launch a bunch of stuff into earth's orbit.
SpaceX has already put the first private rocket and space capsule into orbit. And according to the Associated Press, it's planning to launch a pack mule of a rocket in 2013 that could carry twice as much cargo (Take that NASA).
It's unclear how the guy has time to do everything he does. Maybe he doesn't sleep?
