Florida company wants to recycle boats
A proposed joint venture would facilitate the recycling of abandoned and salvage boats from the Gulf of Mexico, and Florida's tributaries and rivers.
American Fiber Green Products Inc. is advancing on negotiations on a possible joint venture with Florida partners to assist in recycling abandoned marine vessels.
The venture between the Tampa company and the state would facilitate the recycling of abandoned and salvage boats from the Gulf of Mexico, and Florida's tributaries and rivers, according to a written statement.
If a deal is reached, a boat recycling depot could be up and running within 90 to 120 days. Florida's coast is littered with abandoned vessels from storms.
