Nest thermostat goes mainstream at Lowe's
Nest Labs' sexy thermostat will be available in Lowe's home improvement stores.
Nest Labs Inc.’s learning thermostats are now available in 500 Lowe’s home improvement stores.
This is big news if you’re tried to get a Nest thermostat, only available before through the company’s website or certified distributors. The sleek little machines, which sense the way you use energy and adjust to make sure you’re comfortable and saving energy, have been in high demand since the company debuted them in October of 2011. And droves of customers have faced long waiting lists to actually get a Nest thermostat.
My friends said they wanted to buy a Nest thermostat a few months ago but the website said they were out of stock and that there was a six-month wait to get one. The actually wait only ended up being three months.
And incidentally, my friends, love their Nest which came in just a week after they ordered it online once the out-of-stock problem was corrected.
Analysts said that’s the miraculous thing about Nest – the company’s made thermostats cool enough to make people interested in thermostats.
