California Energy Commission approves $23M for green fuels
The California Energy Commission recently approved $23 million in funding for projects that aim to advance the development of green fuels and the installation of fueling stations.
“These awards support innovative projects that provide a crucial boost to emerging fuels and vehicle technologies,” Commissioner Carla Peterma said in a news release. “They support a range of efforts, from cutting-edge scientific research to the development of alternative fueling stations.”
The awards are provided through the commission’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program, created by Assembly Bill 118. The program provides $100 million per year to encourage the development and use of alternative fuels and new vehicle technologies.
